A Bird’s Eye View

For an authentically Florida experience, take your family to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. Still in operation and maintained by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association, you will enjoy touring the grounds, historical exhibits, and a view like you’ve never seen before.
The 203 steps to the top of Florida’s tallest lighthouse are worth it, as you will get to observe the Ponce Inlet and other waterways, as well as the surrounding community. The museum boasts collections of Fresnel lenses, restored to their former glory, and exhibits on the United States Lighthouse Service and its contributions.
Admission rates are reasonable at $6.95 for adults, $1.95 for children (11 and under), and infants (2 and under) are admitted for free. You can visit the park before Memorial Day anytime from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., with the last admission being held at 5:00 p.m. to ensure you have enough time to explore the lighthouse and museum.
