New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival

We’ll be reaching for the sky all weekend long at the New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival. June 3 – 4, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, New Smyrna’s skies will be filled with colorful, vibrant kites of all shapes and sizes. Taking place right on the beach, south of all the excitement on Flagler Avenue, the festival is a fun opportunity for the whole family to step away from technology and reconnect over clear skies, sunshine and old-fashioned kite-flying. The festival will have kite demonstrations, competitions and free lessons for those first-timers in the group. Plus, if you’re vacationing with little ones in tow, the event will have a kid’s zone with free kites to the first 400 children at each festival day and a decorating station to make their kite all their own. Maybe it’s just us, but there’s nothing like reminiscing over the joy of childhood memories like flying a kite.
